I was able to sample 6 products from Perfectly Posh and here is my review on each of them!
The Detox Body Mud Stripper
-This product is said to remove free-radicals, toxins, and pollution. I used the mud sample as a facial mask. I left it on for about 5 min. It does tingle quite a bit once it's first applied but the sensation seemed to go away within a few minutes. I washed it off with cool water and it left my skin feeling really clean! When I look for a facial mask, that's the feeling I like to have. Although I liked how nice and clean it left my skin, I personally would use it on my body rather than my face. I felt it was too strong for my sensitive skin and left me quite red afterwards.
Sugar Fix Body Sugar Scrub
-I really enjoyed this product. I used it mainly on my elbows and knees; I love how soft it left them. I purposely didn't use any lotion for a couple of days prior to testing out all the body products to do extreme product testing lol. The fragrance is a very light 'fresh' clean scent! Love it! I'm all for exfoliation and if you use the Carol's Daughter body scrubs, this is a much neater alternative with the same great results!
Vanilla Grapefruit Make-Out Magic Super Fabulous Sugar Lip Scrub
-OMG! Where to begin! I have a bad habit of going to bed without putting any type of lip balm on my lips. When I wake up I have dry, cracked, and peeling sometimes bleeding lips! I used this sugar lip scrub and my lips were instantly brought back to life! Now I did purposely dry my lips out to really put this scrub to the test and the results were amazing! It smells so good and leaves the lips moisturized. I can't tell you enough how much I loved this product!
Hot Pink Candy Sugar Exotic Mango Body Butter
-Now that's a long name lol! I have severe allergies and it's a pain not being able to purchase body butters or lotions due to the fragrance being so overbearing I'm having a sneezing fit or the ingredients break me out! This was not the case with this body butter. It smells really good but it's not so loud that you can't wear your favorite perfume for fear of the smells clashing; light yet just enough to smell while passing by. Again, I went a few days without using lotion to test the moisture quality of this product. I must say, my dry ashy skin was instantly transformed and radiant! Even my heels!! I love this product! My only critique is the sample wasn't large enough for me to use it all over so I had to spread it very thin and I can't give you all a time frame as too how long it lasted but I'm sure it would have kept me moisturized for hours! I need this body butter in my life!
Hottie Patootie Gelee Body Wash
-I was skeptical about testing this product out because when I smelled it, I started having a sneezing fit! But, I used it and I am happy to say no skin irritation at all!! No burning of the "lady parts" lol or break outs! Best of all, it doesn't leave a loud perfume smell but a very faint fragrance which is what I like when it comes to shower gels! This product truly surprised me at how gentle it was and how well it cleaned without sulfates!
The Liberator Vitamin E Stick
-I used this product on my face. The description says can be used daily for elastic youthful skin. I found the product to be very moisturizing and best of all, it's fragrance free. It was a bit too oily for my oily skin but for future use, I'll only use it under my eyes, on my forehead, and around my mouth to help prevent wrinkles.
Final thoughts: I definitely see a place and a need for Perfectly Posh! I believe not only in the natural hair community, but in general people are becoming more aware and conscience of what they are putting in and onto their bodies! Many studies are coming out about the harmful effects many chemicals have such as causing birth defects, cancer, and other hormonal imbalances. I HIGHLY recommend you all checking this company out! It's reasonably priced!! I will be using some of my Christmas money to purchase some of the items I tested as well as a few I did not try.
